The most popular trekking destination in Nepal is the Annapurna region. It is the central Nepal and near to Pokhara with reputation of providing splendid mountains views, perfect trekking and wide variety of arctic and semi-arctic flora and fauna.
Alpine meadows, bamboo forests, and a variety of trees make trip remarkable with elusive wildlife like barking deer, bear, tahr, ghoral, danphe, musk deer, and blue sheep. These treks will give you a chance to mix with the local people and get an insight into their livelihood and culture.
This trek is all about the views. In a short amount of time, you’ll ascend one of the best viewpoint in the lower Annapurna region for views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Himal.
Get ready! During this trek, you find blooming rhododendron forests during April & May, incredible panoramic views, clouds spread under your feet, cozy villages, suspension bridges, rocks, gorges and an unforgettable sunrise at the footstep of Annapurna.

Itinerary In Detail

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m / 4,592 ft.)
Upon arrival in Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, meet Asiatic Roads representative, assist and transfer to the hotel. At the hotel’s lobby welcome refreshments will be served and room check in assistance provided. Shortly afterwards there will be a tour briefing at the hotel’s lobby.

Day 02: Fly to Pokhara, drive to Ulleri & trek to Banthanti (2,210 m / 7,248 ft.) – 1&1/2 hrs.
After breakfast transfer to Kathmandu’s domestic Airport to board the short & scenic flight to Pokhara. This is an enchanting city nestled in the tranquil valley (827m) on the laps of the mighty Annapurna Himalaya Range. With its beautiful lakes, lush green surroundings and fantastic views of the Annapurna range including the Fish Tail Mountain; it is considered one of nature’s finest gifts to Nepal. Upon arrival transfer to hotel for some refreshment. Upon arrival meet waiting 4WD jeep/s and start drive to Ulleri village (1,960 m/ 6,428 ft.) which may take around 3~4 hours, depending on road condition. En-route we will stop at Birethanti for lunch. In Ulleri you will meet by your trekking support team including Sherpa and Porter, shortly afterwards start climb to Banthanti.

Day 03: Trek to Gorepani (2,860 m / 9,380 ft.) – 3/4 hrs.
After breakfast start trek to Gorepani, the trail crosses two sparkling clear streams and through refreshingly cools oak and Rhododendron forest, before making a short climb to Nangathanti (2,460m). We have a little rest with lunch here at Nangathanti. In winters occasionally this cover with fresh snow. From here it is about two hours to Ghorepani (2,860m/9,380 ft). Rest of the day is free while enjoying spectacular views of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m / 16,787 ft.) above the sea level, which is 7th highest Mountain in the world and other giant snowcapped Mountain in Annapurna.

Day 04: Hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m/10,530 ft) and trek to Tadapani (2,540 m/8,330 ft.)- 5/6 Hrs
Pre-dawn alert and trek up to the Poon Hill (3200m) to view a magnificent sunrise over the Annapurna Range. The views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range are truly magnificent from Poon Hill. The spectacular panorama stretches from Dhaulagiri I (8167m) and Tukuche (6920m) to Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091m), Hiuchhuli (6441m) and Tarke Kang (7193m), Gangapurna (7454m), Lamjung Himal (6986m) and the Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchhre 6997m) make your breath and eyes caught. Watching the beautiful sunrise is a defining moment with lots of pleasure and tranquility. Shortly afterwards, return back to Ghorepani for breakfast.
After breakfast continue trek to Tadapani. The Mountain trail leads several times ascending and descending. It passes several villages through oak and Rhododendron forest.

Day 05: Trek to Ghandruk village and drive to Pokhara
After breakfast, start trek to Ghandruk through rhododendron forests. We can see wide varieties of birds along the way. The steeply descent trail crossing the streams takes us to Ghandruk, second largest Gurung village in Nepal. Explore the maze-like streets of this thriving Gurung settlement and enjoy a good mountain view of Annapurna south and fishtail. After lunch get into the waiting vehicle and drive to Pokhara. Upon arrival check in at hotel for rest and refreshment.

Day 06: Spend a free day in Pokhara.
Pokhara, which is an enchanting city nestled in the tranquil valley (827m) on the laps of the mighty Annapurna Himalayan Range. With its beautiful lakes, lush green surroundings and fantastic views of the Annapurna range including the Fish Tail Mountain; it is considered one of nature’s finest gifts to Nepal. There are many things one can do in Pokhara such as Paraglding, Bungee Jump, Heli tour, Ultra-light flights etc. or walk around colorful Lakeside bazaar and make your day memorable.

Day 07: Fly back to Kathmandu (25 min.) & Sightseeing tour.
After breakfast, transfer to the Pokhara Domestic Airport for onward flight to Kathmandu – 25 min. Upon arrival proceed for a sightseeing tour of ancient Kathmandu City. This includes the excursion to the Bouddhanath Stupa, the biggest stupa in Nepal. This is also called by many as Khasti Chitya, is one of the oldest stupas in the country. The stupa, a well-known Buddhist pilgrimage site, is included in World Heritage Cultural site list by UNESCO. With diameter of about 100m and 40m height, Buddhanath holds its place among the largest Stupa in the world!
Later proceed to Pashupatinath Temple, with its astonishing architectural beauty, stands as a symbol of faith, religion, culture and tradition. Regarded as the most sacred temple of Hindu Lord Shiva in the world, Pashupatinath Temple’s existence dates back to 400 A.D. The richly-ornamented pagoda houses the sacred linga or phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. Thousands of pilgrims from all over the world come to pay homage to this temple that is also known as ‘The Temple of Living Beings’, which is listed UNESCO world heritage Site.
After visiting Pashupatinath Temple proceed for sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square. Listed as one of the eight Cultural World Heritage site by UNESCO, Kathmandu Durbar Square is a cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets that date back to the 12th and 18th centuries. The square is known to be the social, religious and urban focal point of the Capital City. The Palace Complex was the royal Nepalese residence until the 19th century and was the site of important ceremonies, such as the coronation of the Nepalese monarch. We can also visit Temple of Living Goddess “Kumari”, and the Kasthamandap Temple, which is believed to be constructed from the wood of a single tree from which Kathmandu derives its name.

Day 08: Final departure from Kathmandu to onwards destination.
Free until final departure transfer to Kathmandu’s International Airport to board the final departure flight to your onward destination.
