Nepal is a landlocked country in a South Asia, bordered by China in the North and India in the South, East and West. This birthplace of the messenger of peace Siddhartha Gautam Buddha is also home of bravest of the brave Gorkha warriors and the hosts the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest among many others.

Nepal is embellished with the gleaming Himalayan range in the north and adorned with tropical low land greenery in the south. Captivating art, culture, cryptic monasteries and temples, numerous massive places and monuments, unique festivals and lifestyles, sublime exquisite scenery and some of the best waling trials on the earth combined with stirring adventurous bustles are the prominent attributes of the breathtaking land which as positioned it as a distinctive travel destination in the world!!

Itinerary In Detail

  • Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m / 4,592 ft.)

    Upon arrival in Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, meet Himalayan Holidays representative, assist and transfer to the hotel. At the hotel’s lobby welcome refreshments will be served and room check in assistance provided. Shortly afterwards there will be a tour briefing at the hotel’s lobby.

  • Day 02: Fly to Pokhara, drive to Ulleri (3 hrs.) and trek to Gorepani (2,760 m / 9,053 ft.) – 3/4 hrs.

    After early breakfast transfer to Kathmandu’s domestic airport to board the flight to Pokhara, upon arrival drive to Ulleri by 4WD Jeep/s, where you will meet your trekking support team including Sherpa assistant/s and porters. After a short preparation, start the trek towards Ghorepani.

    The trail crosses two sparkling clear streams and through refreshingly cools oak and Rhododendron forest, before making a short climb to Nangathanti (2,460m). We have a little rest with lunch here at Nangathanti. In winters occasionally this cover with fresh snow. After walking about 1 hr, we will reach the day destination Ghorepani (2760m/9053ft). Rest of the day is free while enjoying spectacular views of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m / 16,787 ft.) above the sea level, which is 7th highest Mountain in the world and other giant snowcapped Mountain in Annapurna.

  • Day 03: Hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m/10,530 ft) and trek to Tadapani (2,540 m/8,330 ft.)- 5/6 Hrs

    Pre-dawn alert and trek up to the Poon Hill (3200m) to view a magnificent sunrise over the Annapurna Range. The views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range are truly magnificent from Poon Hill. The spectacular panorama stretches from Dhaulagiri I (8167m) and Tukuche (6920m) to Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091m), Hiuchhuli (6441m) and Tarke Kang (7193m), Gangapurna (7454m), Lamjung Himal (6986m) and the Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchhre 6997m) make your breath and eyes caught. Watching the beautiful sunrise is a defining moment with lots of pleasure and tranquility. Shortly afterwards, return back to Ghorepani for breakfast.

    After breakfast continue trek to Tadapani. The Mountain trail leads several times ascending and descending. It passes several villages through oak and Rhododendron forest.

  • Day 04: Trek to Ghandruk Village (1,940 m/6,363 ft.)- 3 hours.

    After breakfast, start trek to Ghandruk through rhododendron forests. This is a short trek, which may take around 3 hours and can reach for lunch. We can see wide varieties of birds along the way. The steeply descent trail crossing the streams takes us to Ghandruk, second largest Gurung village in Nepal.
    Pm: Explore the maze-like streets of this thriving Gurung settlement and enjoy a good mountain view of Annapurna south and fishtail. Rest of the day is free for rest, while enjoying the surrounding beauty.

  • Day 05: Drive to Pokhara (827m /2,712 ft.) and Sightseeing tour.

    Wake up for a breathtaking Sunrise view over the Annapurna Himalayas & enjoy outdoor breakfast. Shortly afterwards move to nearby Jeep station, where we will meet our waiting jeep to take us back to Pokhara, which may take approximately two hours. Upon arrival check in at hotel for some rest and refreshment, than move to Lakeside restaurant for lunch.

    Pm: After lunch proceed for a sightseeing tour of Pokhara City , which includes visit to the, giant statue of Lord Shiva, Davis Falls, Tibetan Refugee Camp and World’s peace Stupa.

    Pm: Sunset boat rides on the Lake Phewa and visit beautiful Barahi Temple located in the center of Phewa Lake.
    Overnight at Lakeside Hotel.

  • Day 06: Optional Ariel activities in Pokhara and drive to Tansen (1,350 m / 4,428 ft.) - 120 Km / 4 hours.

    In the morning we have an opportunity to go on Ariel Adventure activities based in Pokhara.

    a) Charter Helicopter flight to Mt. Annapurna Base Camp or Mardi Himal Base Camp.
    b) Ultra-light flight
    c) Paragliding
    d) Zip Line
    e) Bungee Jump

    Later we will be back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast check out from hotel and start drive to ancient town Tansen. This is a small ancient hill town situated 4,400 ft. above sea level. It is located on the way from Pokhara to Lumbini. Major attractions here are the ancient culture, excellent mountain views, serene atmosphere and friendly people. The weather here makes it a pleasant place to visit in any season. On clear days Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Gauri Shankar and other peaks can been seen. It is believed that the migrant from Kathmandu valley, especially the Newars played an important role in enriching the architecture and culture of Tansen, and this can be seen today in Tansen.

  • Day 07: Drive to Lumbini (150 m / 492 ft.) - 100km/2.5 hrs. & Sightseeing Tour.

    After breakfast drive to Lumbini – the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, this was destined to be the prevalent religion in Asia. This nativity site, identified by the Ashokan Pillar, erected by Magadhan emperor Ashoka, to commemorate the birth place of Buddha, the Lumbini grove. The pillar was erected over 2,200 years ago, making lumbini the quintessential Buddhist heritage site. Among the prime attractions are the sacred garden with an area of 8 sq. km, the Mayadevi Temple with a bas relief of Mayadevi, the Buddha’s mother and a sacred stone marked with a “foot imprint” of Ashoka. The Ashokan Pillar, the oldest monument so far found in Nepal lies to the west of the Mayadevi Temple. Today only the lower shaft of the pillar stands, the upper past having been split into two. There is no trace of the horse capital. To the south of the pillar is Puskarni, the sacred pond, wherein, Mayadevi is said to have had taken a bath just before giving birth to the Buddha – the Enlightened one.

    For those interested in the treasury of cultural and archaeological riches, Lumbini is the perfect place to be there with a number of stupa, monasteries, meditation centers and bahals(courtyard), no other place evokes the time and aura of the Buddha like Lumbini, the Hallowed birthplace of the Apostle of Peace.

  • Day 08: Drive to Bardiya (415 m / 1,361 ft.) - 334 Km / 7~8 hrs.

    Early morning start a long drive along the East – West Highway to Bardiya National Park. En-route we will stop for lunch. Upon arrival check in at a Jungle Lodge. Rest of the day is for rest.
    Dinner and overnight at wildlife Resort.

  • Day 09: Full day wildlife activities in Bardiya National Park.

    This is one of the most pristine conservation areas in the Tarai and is a home to the endangered Royal Bengal Tiger and Nepal’s most famous one-horned rhinoceros besides countless other mammals and reptiles. The park located in the far western district of Bardiya, is bordered by the Karnali River in the west, the Churia range in the north, while the Babai River flows right through it.

    The national park is covered in vast Sal and riverine forests and tall elephant grass, making it an ideal habitat for many kinds of animals that roam freely. The park hosts 30 species of mammals, more than 250 species of birds, and several varieties of reptiles. There are more sightings of tigers here than in other national parks in Nepal, which attracts visitors who come repeatedly to catch a glimpse of the elusive cat.

    Some of the other animals found here are elephants, swamp deer, blackbuck, gharials and marsh-muggers. The exotic Gangetic dolphin is also sometimes seen along the surface of the Karnali. Birds found here include endangered species like the Bengal florican, lesser florican, silver-eared mesia and the sarus crane.

    The park offers opportunities for sport fishing at the Karnali and Babai rivers. The best time to visit is autumn, winder and early summer when the weather is warm and dry, but not too hot. Activities in the park include elephant rides, jeep safari, walking safaris, sport fishing, Communities visit, rafting in the Karnali River and bird watching accompanied by an experience & knowledgeable naturalist

  • Day 10: Full day wildlife activities in Bardiya National Park.

    Full day wildlife activities in a National Park. All wildlife and cultural activities are well plan by lodge Manager and your Naturalist depending on the sighting of Wild Animals, weather and most important your duration of your stay. You will be engage fully on different kind of wildlife activities offer by National Park and your resort. In addition there will be also a Tharu Cultural program in your resort. Please note Tharu’s are the special trips and real inhabitants of Bardiya and western part of Country. Every year on January 14th or 15th Tharu People of Bardiya celebrate very colorful festival called “Maghi”, this is one of attraction for visitors visiting Bardiya during this period.

  • Day 11: Drive to Nepalgunj Airport (87 Km/ 2 hrs.) & Fly to Kathmandu (50 min.) & Sightseeing tour.

    Early morning check out from Jungle lodge and drive to Nepalgunj Airport to board the flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu proceed for a sightseeing tour of Bouddhanath Stupa, the biggest stupa in Nepal. This is also called by many as Khasti Chitya, is one of the oldest stupas in the country. The stupa, a well-known Buddhist pilgrimage site, is included in World Heritage Cultural site list by UNESCO. With diameter of about 100m and 40m height, Buddhanath holds its place among the largest stupa in the world.

    Later proceed to Pashupatinath Temple, with its astonishing architectural beauty, stands as a symbol of faith, religion, culture and tradition. Regarded as the most sacred temple of Hindu Lord Shiva in the world, Pashupatinath Temple’s existence dates back to 400 A.D. The richly-ornamented pagoda houses the sacred linga or phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. Thousands of pilgrims from all over the world come to pay homage to this temple that is also known as ‘The Temple of Living Beings’, which is listed UNESCO world heritage Site. Later transfer back to hotel for some rest and refreshment. Later transfer to Hotel for room check in and refreshment.

  • Day 12: Sightseeing tour and spend a free afternoon.

    After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square. Listed as one of the eight Cultural World Heritage site by UNESCO, Kathmandu Durbar Square is a cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets that date back to the 12th and 18th centuries. The square is known to be the social, religious and urban focal point of the Capital City. The Palace Complex was the royal Nepalese residence until the 19th century and was the site of important ceremonies, such as the coronation of the Nepalese monarch. We can also visit Temple of Living Goddess “Kumari”, and the Kasthamandap Temple, which is believed to be constructed from the wood of a single tree from which Kathmandu derives its name. Rest of the day is free to stroll around colorful Thamel Bazaar.

    Eve: Group farewell dinner at nice restaurant.

  • Day 13: Final departure from Kathmandu to onwards destination.

    Free until final departure transfer to Kathmandu’s International Airport to board the final departure flight to your onwards destination.
