Itinerary In Detail

1: Arrival in Paro(Bhutan)and drive to Thimphu(2,335m/7,658)-55km/a&1/2hrs.
Board an early morning flight to Paro, Bhutan. This flight is renowned for its breathtaking views of some of the world’s highest peaks. Upon landing at Paro airport, you will be greeted by our guide and transferred to Thimphu. After lunch, visit the Memorial Chorten, a temple built in memory of the late 3rd King, now a popular gathering spot for the elderly who spend their days chanting prayers and socializing. Visit the enclosure where the national animal, Takins, are kept and drive to see the newly built, largest statue of Buddha, providing a magnificent view of the Thimphu valley.
Meeting with Rinpoche and Receiving Blessings.
Later in the afternoon, you have the unique opportunity to meet with a revered Rinpoche. This meeting allows you to receive personal blessings, seek spiritual guidance, and gain insights into Buddhist teachings. The Rinpoche, a highly respected spiritual leader, will offer blessings for your health, happiness, and well-being. This profound experience provides a deep connection to Bhutanese spirituality and culture, enriching your journey through the Land of the Thunder Dragon.

2: Thimphu Sightseeing
Yoga and wellness/Buddhist Meditation
Early morning you guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive to the nearby place for the open air yoga and meditation. Enjoy the open air yoga and meditation session by your private yoga instructor for about an hour. Rebalance your mind, soul and body with the special session.
Later after breakfast, explore the bustling weekend market where locals from surrounding villages come to sell their produce and buy essentials. Historically, the barter system was practiced here. Visit the School of Arts and Crafts, where students learn 13 different arts predominantly used in Bhutan. Drive further to visit the Dechenphodrang monastic school and meet the young monks.Personalized Stamps at Bhutan Post

3: Drive to Phobjica (2,900 m /9,512 ft.) – 144 km / 4 hrs.
In the morning drive to Phobjikha, crossing the Dochula pass (3200m). If the weather is clear, enjoy a spectacular view of Bhutan’s highest peaks, stretching almost 180 degrees. Take a break to walk around the newly built 108 stupas. The drive is picturesque and rewarding. Phobjikha valley is the winter home of the endangered Black Necked Cranes and a paradise for nature lovers and hikers. Upon arrival, relax at the hotel and enjoy the breathtaking valley views or embark on the Phobjikha Nature Trail hike (2.5 Hrs), offering beautiful valley views and ending at Gangtey Goempa temple.

4: Phobjikha Sightseeing
In the morning, A beautiful morning view on our 360º guided hike.This breathtaking hike, Gangtey 360°, begins with a 15 minute drive back up towards Lawala Pass. From here you will set off on a 30-40 minute hike up towards the meditation cliff at 3,400m. The hike takes you up a sloping lined pathway, through towering bushes of jade-hued bamboo. During the Spring months, the woodlands on either side of the valley look particularly stunning, with an array of coloured rhododendrons. When you reach the top you are rewarded with unobstructed 360° views on all sides; Phobjikha (Gangtey) Valley as far as the eye can see and the Himalayas.

Hoist prayer flags to wish for happiness, long life, prosperity, luck, and to offer karmic merit to all sentient beings. For centuries, prayer flags have played a significant role in Bhutanese tradition. They are typically placed outside homes, on hilltops, bridges, and at spiritually significant locations.Donate a Meal to the Monks
Contributing a meal to the monastic community in Gangtey Valley is a generous and fulfilling act. This gesture supports Gangtey Trulku Rinpoche and over 33 monasteries, including Goenpas, Shedras, and Dubdras, dedicated to preserving Bhutanese traditions and providing religious education and retreat facilities. When you donate a meal to the monks of Gangtey, they will offer special prayers and blessings for you in gratitude. Donors are warmly invited to participate in this meaningful experience.

5: Phobjikha- Punakha (2 Hrs)
Morning could go for walk right below your hotel and meet the school children who all walk for hours to reach their nearest school. Later after breakfast retrace the drive back to Punakha. En route just before arriving the hotel, taka a nice hike through the paddy field and old village to visit Chimi Lakhang, the temple of fertility associated with religious art of phallus.
Evening Prayers at Walakha Nunnery
Participate in the serene and spiritual experience of evening prayers at Walakha Nunnery. Located in a tranquil setting, this nunnery is home to a dedicated community of nuns who follow a daily routine of prayers and meditation. As the sun sets, join the nuns in their chanting and rituals, immersing yourself in the peaceful ambiance and rhythmic prayers. 6: Punakha Sightseeing
Morning drive to visit Punakha Dzong (fortress), which houses the most elaborated temple in the country. This is a must to see fortress in Bhutan and a fine example of Bhutanese rich Art and Architecture. Later could go for an hour hike (uphill) to the temple of Khamsum Yuley Lakhang overlooking the paddy field and the snakelike river bends. After lunch activities:
White River Rafting in Punakha
Experience the thrill of white river rafting in Punakha, a perfect blend of adventure and natural beauty. Raft down the Mo Chhu river, surrounded by stunning landscapes and lush greenery. 7: Punakha -Paro (4 Hrs)
Later after breakfast retrace the drive back to Paro.

The national sport of Bhutan is archery so your trip wouldn’t be complete without trying it for yourself. The guide will help you gtry the Bhutanese archery wearing the traditional dress. Your guide will set up the targets and teach you the rules, as well as how to correctly hold the bow. It’s an exhilarating feeling, releasing your arrow and watching it fly towards the target. Typically, the Bhutanese shoot from 150 metres away, but you can move as close as you like.

8: Haa Day Excursion- Paro Sightseeing
In the morning, drive to Chelela Pass (3800m), one of the highest motorable roads in Bhutan. If the weather permits, you can view Mt. Jomolhari (7314m), the country’s most sacred and highest peak. Walk around the pass, enjoy the fresh air and fluttering prayer flags,
Haa Valley
Discover the enchanting beauty of Haa Valley, a hidden gem in Bhutan. Nestled in the western part of the country, this serene valley is renowned for its pristine landscapes, traditional villages, and rich cultural heritage. Explore the picturesque trails, visit ancient temples such as the Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) and Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple), and experience the warm hospitality of the local peoplthen return to the hotel in the afternoon. You might even see an archery match, Bhutan’s traditional game. In the evening, return to the hotel.

9: Hike to Tiger’s Nest
In the morning, drive to the base of the hike to Tiger’s Nest, Bhutan’s most revered temple, which clings to a granite cliff overlooking Paro valley. The hike takes about 3 hours uphill and will occupy most of the day. On the way back, if time and energy permit, visit Kichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, marking the beginning of Buddhism in the country.
Cultural show with Bhutanese dress.
Dance to the traditional Bhutanese tunes with colorfully dressed dancers round the bonfire , get tipsy on the popular local drink -‘Ara’ The cultural program will be 10 items including the mask dances, folk songs and demonstration for 1 hour.

10: Final Departure
In the morning, transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Your guide will bid you farewell at the airport.
