Chulu West stands (6,419m/ 21,054 ft.) was first ascended in 1952 by a Japanese expedition. Above base camp some steep loose rock need fixing ropes. The Caravan route for Chulu west follows Besisashar to Chame to Manang to Lader to Base Camp.
Chulu West Peak Climbing Difficulty Level keeps the peak in a challenging category of peaks making it one of the best for climbers with previous experience of mountaineering. Chulu West Peak Climb is challenging, however, is one of the thrill-driven and beautifully adventurous trips which leads to a great and glorious summit with rewards that can last for a lifelong period of time.
It is situated high above the Manang valley with breathtaking views across to the Annapurnas II, III and IV, Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho Peak and Manaslu. The climb is combined with the classic trek Jomsom or the Annapurna massif, ascending the Marshyangdi valley and crossing the Thorung La pass walk to Jomsom via Muktinath. From the tops of these peaks, the panoramic view of the extraordinary Annapurna and Gangapurna Ranges.
Itinerary In Detail

1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m / 4,592 ft.)
Upon arrival in Katmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, meet, assist and transfer to hotel for room check in. Rest of the day till dinner is free.
Eve: Welcome dinner at Authentic Nepali restaurant with culture program.

2: Gure Check & Orientation in Kathmandu
The day is free in Kathmandu for rest, last-minute shopping, gear check, and Trek / Climb Orientation in Kathmandu. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

3: Drive to Besi Shahar(760m/2,490ft)-187 km/s
After breakfast, check out from and start scenic drive to Beshi Sahar. En route lunch stop at Kuringtar Spring Resort. After hearty lunches in Kuringtar continue drive to Besi Shahar continue drive to Besi Sahar (823 m) which is the main town of Lamjung district. Until recently this market town of 2000 inhabitants was called Besigaon. However since the opening of the road to Manang, in the late seventies, there are several administrative offices here, as well as post-offices and a police check-post where your trekking permit will be examined for the first time.

4: Drive to Chame (2,713m/8,898ft.)-68 kms/5 hrs
After early breakfast, check out from the hotel and start drive to Bashishahar. From Bashishahar continue drive to Chame through the unpaved Mountain Road En-route stop at Dharapani Vilalge for lunch. After lunch continue drive to Chame. The District Headquarters of Manang District, which is another 45 minutes away.

5: Treak to Pishang(3,185m/10,446)
After breakfast we walk to the village of Kyupar (2,600m). Outside the village a police check post controls the access to the Nar Phu Khola Valley, which leads to Tibet. We have to show, our trekking permits here again before proceedin

6: Trek to Manang(3,530m/11,580ft)-4 hours.
Once again we come across a check post where the trekking permits will be again examined. From Hongde the valley widens and we get to see the Annapurnas III and IV (7555m and 7525m) to the left, East and West Chulus (6584m and 6419m) on the right, towards the horizon there are views of highest peak of Mount Thorung(6481m) and to the east, the crown of Mount Pisang. From Hongde we climb upto the ancient village of Braga (3505m).
We can take time to wander around Braga to see this picturesque village with its flat roofed houses and to visit the Gompa, not only the largest in the region but also the richest with its fine collection of Thangkas (religious scroll paintings) and prayer books. After hearty lunch it takes only forty-five minutes to reach Manang from here, which sits on the plateau at 3530m.

7: Rest day in Manang for acclimatization.
Rest day in Manang for acclimatization. Your guide will take you on a hike towards Gangapurna Glacier on this day for acclimatization process.

8: Trek to Lader (4,200 m / 13,776 ft) - 4 hours.
From Khangsar, the trail goes descending to Gungsang crossing Jharsang Khola. The route passes through sparse forests of Juniper, rose and barberry and a few meadows where horses and yaks graze of Chulu West and Gunndang then Mani wall in a meadow. Beyond is Yak Kharka, also known as Koche.

9: Trek to Chulu West Base Camp (5,140 m / 16,860 ft) - 8 hours.
After breakfast start climbing to Chulu East Base Camp.

10: Rest and acclimatization day in Base Camp.
Rest day for acclimatization. You can go for a hike to gain some altitude and descent to base camp overnight.

11: . Climb to High Camp (5,600 m / 18,368 ft.)

12: Summit Chulu West(6,584 m / 21,596 ft) and descent down to Base Camp.
From the high camp, the ridge leads to the final snow slop which is rather demanding and more technical to reach the summit. Our experienced guides will help you fix the ropes and lead you to the summit of the peak. After the successful endeavor to summit of the peak, we will walk down to the high camp and then to the base camp for the overnight.

After breakfast, start driving to Besishahar.

16: Drive to Kathmandu
After breakfast, meet the waiting vehicle and start 5 hrs. drive to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu check in at a hotel. Rest of the day is free for most deserved rest and relaxation.
